Champion of the Moscow Olympic Games (1980) and participant of the Munich Olympic Games (1972 - IV place), two-fold World Champion in Team Classification (1973, 1981), Absolute European Champion (1972) and a two-fold champion by team classification (1972, 1978), two-fold champion of the USSR (1973, 1979) and a five-fold third-prize winner (1971, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1981), winner of the USSR Cup (1972, 1978), second-prize winner of the VII USSR Peoples Spartakiads (1979), Winner of Milan (1975, 1980), Lodz (1976), Koln (1978) and Lvov (1981) International tournaments. The best Georgian athlete of the year (1980), recipient of the Vakhtang Gorgasali II class Order. President of the Georgian Archery Federation (2002-2005).
