Preparation for ‘Tbilisi-2015’ – New Logo and Anthem

The seminar titled ‘Olympic Education and Sport Management' continued for three days at the GEONOC office. It was organized by the Georgian National Olympic Committee and the Olympic Solidarity of International Olympic Committee. The issue of preparing for the ‘Tbilisi-2015' Olympic Festival was discussed in addition to the agenda of the conference.

Grand Prix of Varlam Liparteliani

At the Judo Grand Prix tournament in Abu Dabi, where the athletes from 56 countries participated, Georgian national team won one Gold and two Bronze Medals.

Levan Zhorzholoani’s Gold

At the World Judo Championship that took place on October 8-9, in Baku, Georgian team participated in 10 weight categories; however, it managed to earn only one medal. Levan Zhorzholiani (100kg) put up a fine show; he defeated all his opponents and won a gold medal.

The competition of Greco-Roman style wrestling at the World Wrestling Championship in Istanbul is over. Georgian wrestlers managed to win only one Silver Medal.
