On January 14, at the Culture Centre of Chiatura Municipality took place award ceremony of the sportsman of the year attended by the Vice Governor of Imereti Giorgi Chihvaria, First Deputy Paata Nadiradze, Chairman of the Georgian NOC Regional Olympic Committee Mr. Revaz Robakidze and representatives of municipalities.

Lasha Talakhadze - World Champion in weightlifting 2015 became the best athlete of Imereti. He received commemorative gifts - specially manufactured Olympic watch and five volume Olympic Encyclopedia created by P. Natsvlishvili.
