While Tbilisi hosts senior European Weightlifting Championships, the Youth World Championships is underway in the city of Lima. Member of Georgian national team U17 Revaz Davitadze has successfully competed and acquired silver medal in the capital of Peru. Davitadze lifted 130kg in snatch and 162 kg in clean and jerk collecting total 292 kg becoming finally vice-champion. Noteworthy is that this is the first international tournament for the athlete and considering his debute performance, it can be considered for the start as quite successful.
