World Figure Skating Championship wrap up press conference at the Georgian NOC

Press conference organized at the Georgian National Olympic Committee summarized results of the recent World Figure Skating Championships held in Helsinki.

NOC President Leri Khabelov and the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia Tariel Khechikashvili congratulated talented Georgian athlete Moris Kvitelashvili together with his coaches and Figure Skating Federation  on occasion of the figure skater's  successful performance in Finland.

22-year-old guy ranked 13th at the above World Championships and became the first Georgian athlete who obtained qualification for the 2018 winter Olympic Games.

Leri Khabelov spoke on the successful debut of the athlete recollecting also his successful  performance  at the 2017 European Championships ranking 6th which was followed by his  superb results acquiring Olympic qualification for 2018 Olympics.

 "The success revealed by Moris will be great stimulus for our athletes who are also continuing to strive for getting Olympic licenses. We hope to have at least 4 athletes in Pyeongchang. We are working hard in close collaboration  with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia to represent our country worthily in  South Korea next year"- said L. Khabelov.
