Sport education for regional administrators -IOC Sport Administrators Courses

During  April 25-28, 2017 Georgian NOC organized Sport Administrators Courses within the framework of   the Olympic Solidarity  Management Programs.  

In difference with previously organized courses this time NOC made primary focus on regional sport officials namely internally displaced persons- administrators, coaches, public school teachers  and other sport specialists invited from conflict zones Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, villages and the cities of Zugdidi, Poti, Gali, Kutaisi, as well as sport administrators from the NSFs of the capital.

The participants were  welcomed by  Georgian NOC Secretary General E. Zenaishvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Culture of Abkhazian Autonomous Republic R. Nizharadze and Head Sport and Youth Affairs Department V. Bendeliani. The Courses were run by certified program director, professor L. Aptsiauri, President of Georgian NOA, Vice President of Georgian Paralympic Committee.

Sport society from the regions revealed great interest to the covered presentations and reports. Amongst the key topics were International Olympic movement and Olympic system, sport management system in Georgia, past activities and perspectives of Abkhazian regional NOC, development of sport system at public schools, etc.   

Finally, participants expressed high evaluation and appreciation to the IOC, Georgian NOC and all relevant stakeholders for organization of this significant event. NOC leaders presented them at the end of the courses with the IOC Certificates.
