At the Grand Prix Tournament in Qingdao, China, the member of Georgian National Judo team Levan Zhorzholiani (100kg) won 4 confrontations out of 5 combats and won the Silver Medal along with 120 rating points. Thereby, he ensured his participation in the prestigious international tournament - ‘World Masters' - next January. Irakli Tsirekidze (100kg) also took part in the Chinese Championship and despite the fact that he failed to pass the quarterfinals, he is guaranteed to participate in the ‘World Masters' tournament thanks to his personal rating.

In Qingdao Zhorzholiani defeated 4 opponents and in the finals he lost to the South Korean Hi-Tae Hwang. The Georgian athlete joined the Judo tournament from the second lap and in 1 minute and 44 seconds he overcame Japanese Shinato Higashi, who was participating in the tournament on behalf of the USA. He defeated French Ciril Mare and Uzbek Utkur Kurbanov by Ipon and overcame Ukrainian Artem Bloshenko by Vazari and 2 Yukos.

Due to the trauma received at the ‘Tokyo Masters', Irakli Tsirekidze's participation in the Chinese tournament was doubtful; however, the World and Olympic Champion joined the competition and even won 1 combat but in the quarterfinals he lost to the Japanese wrestler Riunosuke Haga.
