Georgian NOC Imereti branch is actively involved in the preparation process for Tbilisi 2015 to identify and train effectively young athletes. Kutaisi city systematically organizes mini tournaments in sports envisaged by the EYOF Festival program.

This time competitions were organized in volleyball and gymnastics. Teams from Kutaisi, Samtredia, Didi Jikhaishi and Sachkhere participated in the volleyball tournament. The sport events identified several promising players who have good chances to enter the main team.

Number of participants in gymnastics exceeded all expectations. Noteworthy is that 4 gymnasts from Kutaisi born in 1998-1999 are members of national team and such mini festivals aim at identifying as many candidates as possible for Tbilisi 2015 Festival.
