Memorandum of Cooperation was signed today between Georgian NOC and Journalists' Network for Gender Equality". NOC President Leri Khabelov and Director of the NGO Tamar Katsitadze signed the document which envisages placing primary attention and priority to the gender equality aspects on all the events organized by the Olympic Committee and ensuring further promotion of the gender equality issue. Parties agreed to establish close collaboration and provide necessary support, when required from the standpoint of protecting women's rights.

Georgian NOC takes responsibility to collaborate with the "Journalists' Network on Gender Equality" and ensure observation of all gender norms envisaged by the legislation during all events organized by the NOC as well as in the process of preparation of promotional strategy and relevant materials.

Signing of the Memorandum took place in the presence of Chief of International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) Nermin Nisic.
