In Pursuit of success-Baku European Games

Executive Board Meeting organized at the Georgian NOC was dedicated to participation of Georgian delegation in the First European Games - Baku 2015. NOC President Leri Khabelov outlined in his introductory speech great significance of the event and big hopes associated with Georgian athletes.

Later NOC President gave the floor to the leaders of National Sport Federations who provided detailed information on the athletes' preparation level, training process and spoke about their expactations. Absolute majority of the audience expressed satisfaction with the created conditions for athletes' preparation and confirmed great chance of our athletes to strive for medals of all types in Baku.

Tariel Khechikashvili, the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia focused on the importance of further close collaboration between the Ministry and Georgian NOC for the benefit of sport. The Minister covered also issues on improvement of material-technical base and outlined significance of mass sport.

Georgian NOC First Vice President, Chef de Mission of Georgian delegation in Baku, Elguja Berishvili stated that our country will have unprecedentedly large delegation at the European Games with 104 athletes. The mentioned number will be increased by technical and administrative personnel and such delegation size is actually for the first time in the history of Georgian athletes' participation in the international sport events.
