Preparation for ‘Tbilisi-2015’ – New Logo and Anthem

The seminar titled ‘Olympic Education and Sport Management' continued for three days at the GEONOC office. It was organized by the Georgian National Olympic Committee and the Olympic Solidarity of International Olympic Committee. The issue of preparing for the ‘Tbilisi-2015' Olympic Festival was discussed in addition to the agenda of the conference.

The final day of the seminar, in which 110 persons participated (employees of sports organizations as well as the students of medical university), was dedicated to the theoretical training at the clinic of Pharmaceutical Company ‘Aversi'. The training was opened by the First Vice President of GEONOC Ramaz Goglidze and President of the Association of Sports Medicine Zurab Kakhabrishvili. The seminar was also attended by Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Giorgi Galdava.

An noteworthy report ‘Tendencies of Development of Olympic Education and Olympism in Georgia' was delivered by the President of Olympic Academy Lela Aphtsiauri. Professor Temur Mikiashvili talked about specialized Olympic Games; Professor Vasil Bakashvili touched upon the topic of Globalization of Olympic Education; Editor-in-Chief of sports newspaper ‘Lelo' Tengiz Gachechiladze spoke about the ‘Characteristics of Olympic Education in Georgian Folk and Classical Systems of Physical Development'. Postgraduate student of the Peloponnesus University Tornike Gachechiladze presented the ‘Program of Olympic Education for Sunday Schools'. Professor Levan Goguadze delivered a lecture on Social-Cultural Aspects of Gender in Olympic Sports; Professor Mamia Tugushi acquainted the audience with ‘Modern Tendencies of Physical Education and sports in Georgian Schools'. Zurab Kakhabrishvili's discussion regarding the ‘Healthy Nutrition and Daily Routine in Sports' concluded the agenda.

Within the framework of the conference, the participants of the seminar surveyed the ultra-modern Olympic Museum of GEONOC. After the event, all participants of the seminar were granted special diplomas.
