Announcement of Georgian National Olympic Committee

Under the aegis of Georgian National Olympic Committee, GEONOC plans to conduct international competition ‘Sport and Art', dedicated to the upcoming London Summer Olympic Games. Its basic aim is to promote Olympic principles and ideals of Olympic Charter.
Subject matter of competition - ‘Sport and Supremacy of Olympic Values, Friendship and Respect'
Participants of competition - all persons of any age can take part in the competition
Categories of competition - 1)sculpture
2)work of graphic (drawing, painting, engraving)
Size of sculpture should be 1.5m X 1 m (about 20 kg)
Size of graphic work should be no bigger than 1.5m X 1m (including frame)
Jury:
GEONOC will the members of the jury, which will have to arrive at the decision in June, 2011.
Jury members - Representatives of the committee for the GEONOC museum of culture and Olympic education; art experts from all five continents.
Prize fund:
Best pieces of work will be awarded the following prizes by the GEONOC:
1st place - USD 30 000 and diploma
2nd place - USD 20 000 and diploma
3rd place - USD 10 000 and diploma
Five additional encouraging prizes will be also provided
Insurance:
GEONOC undertakes to insure the prize-winning pieces of work.
Terms and conditions of holding the competition:
The competition will take place in Georgia; it will be organized by Georgian National Olympic Committee. The best works, ed together with the competent jury (1 sculpture and 1 graphic work) will be forwarded to Lausanne (Switzerland).
Note:
The works submitted for the competition must bear the first name, surname, address, phone number of their author.
The participants must submit their pieces of work till January 27, 2012 to the headquarters of GEONOC, which is sited at 11, Machabeli Street, Tbilisi, Georgia. Telephone 251 00 57.
