In Birmingham, England, the 22nd World Trampolining Championship, where the licenses for London-2012 Olympic Games were distributed, two Georgian athletes Luba Gelovani and Tengiz Koshkadze suffered a major setback. Unfortunately, at the training the day before the competition, Tengiz Koshkadze was injured and doctors forbade him to take part in the championship. According to the chief coach of our team Zaur Sulashvili, Koshkadze had good chances of earning the license.

As for Luba Gelovani, she aimed at getting in the set of 8 top athletes and thus gaining the London Olympics' license but due to a blunder, she lost the chance to take part in the finals and consequently, lost the prospect of earning the license. She finished the competition in the 12th place. She will have a new opportunity for gaining the Olympic license next January at the next licensing tournament.
