The World and Olympic Judo Champion Irakli Tsirekidze won a Bronze Medal at ‘Dzigaro Kano' Memorial in Tokyo. The organizers of this prestigious tournament personally invited the Georgian athlete to participate In the competition.

Tsirekidze won three meetings and moved to the semifinals, which equals gaining the Bronze Medal. Due to the trauma he could not wrestle further and along with the Bronze Medal, Tsirekide earned 120 rating points.
