Freestyle wrestlers completed European Championship in high spirits. Today David Marsagishvili (84kg) trained by Revaz Mindorashvili justified expectations of Georgian fans and acquired deservedly title of the European Champion.

Bronze medalist of the London Olympic Games met first Austrian Dominik Klaus Peter easily defeating him. In the next match he also won with Romanian Andrei Frant entering semifinals where David had to contest with the titled wrestler of Russian national team Anzor Urishev. During 2011 continental championship Georgian wrestler lost with the same athlete in the finals. This time he took a convincing revenge over the opponent entering final where Georgian wrestler defeated Armenian team member Musa Murtazaliev acquiring champion's title finally.

So, Georgian freestyle wrestlers obtained two gold and two bronze medals ranking second in the team competition.
