Two-fold World Champion in team competition (1961, 1967), two-fold second-prize winner (1959, 1966- both in team competitions) and two-fold third-prize winner (1963, 1965 – both time in individual contest), third-prize winner of XVII Olympic Games in team competition (1960, Rome), third-prize winner of the XVIII Olympic Games in individual competition (1964, Tokyo), Champion of the USSR in individual classification (1961), Five-fold second-prize winner (1960, 1961, 1962, 1964, 1968) and five-fold third-prize winner (1957, 1958, 1960, 1965, 1967) of the USSRChampionship. Winner of the USSR Cup (1960). Honored Master of Sports of the USSR.
